Hello everyone!! My name is Allison Hwang and I'm interested in pursuing medicine. I'm particularly interested in the fields of psychiatry and neurology. Aside from academics, I love to junk journal, watch tv shows and movies, reading and going to the beach :) One of my favorite things to do is to give advice so if you're interested in anything I do academically or personally please feel free to ask me! I'd love to get to know you all <3

Hi! My name is Vi (pronounced "vee"), and I'm elated to have a wonderful year with PSA! Psychology has always been a passion of mine; as I head towards the end of my undergraduate journey, I'm looking to achieve a Master's and a PH.D before pursuing a research-oriented career. In my free time, I love doing anything that involves the people I hold close to me—whether that be going to the beach, eating out, or partaking in new activities. I especially love all things music-related and going to concerts, especially those pertaining to Rap and R&B! I can't wait to see you at PSA, and don't hesitate to reach out!

I joined PSA in search of academic and professional opportunities in the field! After 3 years in the organization, I can proudly say that I have gained—not only exposure to these opportunities—, but also a community of lifelong friends. If you're looking for a wonderful support system throughout your undergraduate journey and beyond, you'll definitely want to come along for the ride!

Paige Henderson

2nd Year - Psychological Sciences B.A.

Hi!! My name is Paige, and I'm looking to pursue a career in the field of neuropsychology and am interested in research on cognitive development and neurodegenerative diseases. After graduating, I hope to work in research before I apply to Clinical Psychology PhD programs! Outside of school, I love hanging out with my friends, reading, and crafting! One fun fact is it is my dream to study abroad in Italy at some point! I'm so excited for this year!

PSA was the first club I joined at UCI and I immediately felt so welcomed and embraced by the community and board. Going in, I wanted to find like-minded people who I could not only be friends with, but find guidance from. Joining PSA was one of the best decisions that I made my first year because it led me to find some of my closest friends, and led me to amazing opportunities that I would not have otherwise been aware of. PSA has helped me better understand and define my career goals, as well as grow professionally and socially! Others should join to find a wonderful community that is focused on helping everyone succeed in all aspects of university and meet super cool people!

2nd Year - Psychology B.A. & Management Minor

Hallo I'm Wesley and I'm from the Bay Area but more specifically San Jose! In terms of my career passion, I'm really interested in how psychology overlaps in the workforce and how improving employee's work experience can help promote the success of their respective companies. My goal is to pursue a masters in I/O Psychology in order to achieve my passion! Some things I love outside of academics include expanding my lovely collection of keychains and fidgets, being gluttonous and exploring grub spots, and spending time experiencing life with my friends! I can't wait to help bring incredible experiences to PSA this year, so definitely come say hi if you see me around! 

I initially joined PSA because it felt like "the right thing to do" to learn about my major and figure out my career path. I was pleasantly surprised when it gave me all of that and so much more! Beyond the professional development, PSA introduced me to like-minded individuals who motivate me every single day! This club kept me grounded in my academics, but more importantly, it gave me a place to find some of my closest friends at UCI. ​

PSA truly has something for everyone! Whether you're here to explore psychology career paths or just have fun at our events and make friends, it’s an amazing community for both professional and personal growth!

Hi, my name is Gabby! One of the things I value most is making people feel comfortable and heard, and like they always have someone to turn to. I love getting to know people, building meaningful relationships, and creating spaces where everyone feels like they belong. Outside of PSA, I have the most fun when I'm driving around alone, blasting music, singing and dancing my heart out (I have a terrible voice BTW)

I joined PSA as a freshman unsure of what I wanted to do with my psychology degree, and PSA opened my eyes to so many paths and opportunities I didn't even know existed. From research and internships, to professional development, and the friendships I've made, PSA has provided me with a community I can always fall back on. 

What I love most about PSA is that it truly offers the best of both worlds. We have fun and make genuine friendships, while simultaneously supporting each other academically and professionally. I think everyone should join PSA because you don't have to have everything figured out to belong here. Whether you're looking for opportunities, guidance, new friends, or simply a community where you feel comfortable, there's a place for you in PSA.

Hi! I'm Lili and am interested in pursuing a career in speech language pathology. One fun fact about me is that I studied abroad in Taiwan last summer! In my free time you can catch me reading, playing the violin, grabbing food with friends, or at the movies. I can't wait to meet you all!

Hello everyone!! My name is Rayann DeGuia, and I am originally from the Bay Area. I have a strong passion for community work and advocacy, which fuels my aspiration of becoming a social worker! Through applying psychological principles and approaching all situations with empathy and care, I hope to uplift underserved communities. In my free time, I love to go hiking, craft jewelry, and make my own press-on nails. I'm excited for the wonderful year ahead of us!

I joined PSA in my first year because I was unsure of how to navigate my major and career path. Joining PSA and becoming an intern gifted me with a community of like-minded students within an area I was previously unfamiliar with. I encourage anyone with the slightest interest in psychology to join; you'll gain valuable advice and a welcoming environment!

Hello, my name is Joseph! I'm from the Bay Area and after graduating I hope to pursue a master's degree in I/O Psychology. My favorite part of psychology is helping others, so I hope to do that in my career. Some of my interests are sports, movies, and Pokémon.

I like that PSA is an equal balance of a social/fun and career/professional. I've made many friends through it, some not even psychology majors! I'm very grateful to have joined the club and even more so to be a board member.

My name is Kate Magana, and my long-term career goal is to become a school psychologist. I plan to pursue graduate school to continue that path after my time at UCI. Growing up with two parents who are teachers, I’ve always valued education and feel inspired to work in school settings where I can support students and my community. A fun fact about me is that I'm addicted to running and love playing tennis.

I joined PSA because the people are genuinely welcoming and supportive, and it immediately made me feel like I belonged. PSA is a great place to network, gain mentorship, and connect with others who are passionate about psychology! I love that the organization offers real opportunities to learn and get involved on campus. Others should join because it’s an amazing way to make friends, build confidence, and feel supported by people who share the same goals as you.

Hi!! My name is Fiona and I’m from the Bay Area. I am passionate about the combination of Psychology and Business through I/O Psychology, specifically in HR and marketing. It is important to me to surround myself with a uplifting, supportive environment. I enjoy being creative in my free time, planning, and organizing. I heard about PSA through a friend and looked up to all the board members at the first meeting I went to. I love surrounding myself with hard working people with goals and wanted to intern for PSA! Through that opportunity, I found out more about myself and career goals, and it made my UCI experience.

If you're reading this, it's nice to meet you :) My name is Yuma Torigoe, and I practically grew up in Irvine my whole life - feel free to add my instagram if you need to be put on (@yuma.torigoe). Some things I love are my friends, needoh, and music, whether it be listening or playing. You might catch me listening to house, shoegaze, and RnB. As a psychology student, my dream career would be to work as a cognitive behavioral therapist or a licensed MFT. When I’m not studying, I’m either playing guitar, watching films, or gaming/drawing.

This club has been a great way to explore career/research opportunities and meet other like-minded people. During the socials, I felt like it was super easy to strike up a conversation with anyone. If I were to ask people to join, I would say that PSA is a great resource for navigating classes, friendships, and career advice.

Hi! My name is Olivia Delgado and I'm from San Diego. I am an aspiring physician and hope to someday work in pediatrics. A little fun fact is that I have over 30 sonny angels... and I also just love collecting trinkets in general! I'm super excited for this upcoming year with PSA :)) 

I came into UCI as a Psychology major but recently switched into Biological Sciences. Even now that I am no longer a psychology major, I found that this club has a space for everyone and that's what I love about it! Everyone should join PSA if they want to find a club that's both academic and social and provides an open space for everybody :)

Hello all! My name is Anna and I'm from LA. While I'm still exploring my career path, I'm especially interested in counseling psychology and hope to work with children and adolescents in the future. A fun fact about me is that I love going to concerts and experiencing my favorite music live. My all-time favorite artist is the queen Lana Del Rey! I'm someone who loves meeting new people and making new connections, so please don't hesitate to come say hi! I'm so excited to get to know everyone this year and can't wait to show you everything PSA has in store!
