Details:
The Mental Health Commission is focused on destigmatizing conversations around mental health on campus to help normalize and strengthen our students’ relationships with their mental health. Every Anteater should feel safe and comfortable asking for help from our university - adequate services should always be available to students who need it. Responsible for events and initiatives focused on different topics within the field of mental health and different resources available on and off campus, including our annual Reclaim Mental Health Conference, the Mental Health Commission aims to promote a UCI where Anteaters can comfortably speak about their mental health journeys and recognize they're not alone.
Mental Health Leads will be expected to:
Dedicate at least four (4) hours a week to the commission
Attend weekly commission meetings, all-OP meetings, and all-ASUCI meetings
Host and attend one (1) weekly pub hour (advertise events, ask questions, etc.)
Report weekly actions to the Commissioners
Inform your subcommittee Interns about updates
You'll help plan logistics for the Reclaim Mental Health Conference, such as contacting food vendors, deciding room layouts, and planning the itinerary for the day of. You'll also submit purchase requests and book venues for any events we may do.
