Vascular Senescence and Cognition (VaSC) - Lab w/ Dr. Daniel Nation


Description:

Their work is focused on improving their understanding of how aging of the vascular system may contribute to disorders. They are also interested in how vascular function may impact pathophysiological brain changes that represent the earliest stages of Alzheimer’s disease. The goal of these studies is to improve their understanding of age-related neurodegenerative diseases and their ability to identify at-risk individuals during earliest stage of disease when preventive efforts may be most effective.


Requirements:

  • Accepting applicants on a rolling basis throughout this quarter.

  • Commit to a minimum of 8 hours/week for 1 year (2 year commitment preferred)

  • Express interest in learning about age-related neurodegenerative disorders. Desire to pursue graduate study or career in related fields (clinical psychology, neuroscience, medical school etc.)

  • No specific experience required (all RA’s will be well-trained)
