2024-2025 Interns
This is PSA's Intern Team for the 2024-2025 school year! Our hardworking and dedicated Interns will help our board manage club events and create a stronger environment for our organization. Feel free to say Hi to these friendly faces at each meeting throughout the year :)

Secretary Intern
Ally JohnPress
Major(s): Psychology, B.S. & Business Administration, B.A.
Hey y'all! My name is Ally and I’m serving as PSA’s Secretary Intern. I’m interested in pursuing a career in leadership coaching, but I love studying psychology, especially consciousness and sleep and dreams. I’m originally from Austin, Texas, and Some of my favorite things include Jellycats, Doctor Who, and Legos. I love doing yoga, reading, and staring into space (except, I call it meditation). My current obsession is with the Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Bark-- I have a huge sweet tooth! I absolutely love the community of PSA and how welcoming and supportive everyone is. PSA has served as a safe space for me to explore my personal and academic interests in psychology with other like-minded individuals, and I joined the team so I could support other students, too! :)

Treasurer Intern
Nicholas Chou
Major(s): Psychological Sciences B.A.
I would like to say that I’m the kind of person that can talk about anything! Arts, music, foods, sports, games, I can chat about anything! And for anything I haven’t yet done, I’d love to try someday! I am very open to new experiences and would love to trade stories, hearing about what you’ve seen and what you’ve done! I applied to be an intern to hopefully get a sense of responsibility and leadership. I hope that I can become someone people can turn to, someone others can rely on, and a friendly face newcomers can feel welcome meeting!

Outreach Intern
Kate Won
Major(s): Psychological Sciences major and Management minor
Hi! I'm Kate and I am a second year psychological sciences major, interested in careers related to all types of counseling. One of my favorite hobbies is to go to good food places in OC with my friends! On my own, I love to read, take pictures, visit new places, listen to podcasts, watch tv shows and Studio Ghibli movies, and crochet! Entering into PSA, I felt an overall sense of inclusion from the rest of the members here which encouraged me to apply as an intern. I love that PSA works hard to provide their club members all sorts of resources that are tied to psychology! I believe PSA is a great opportunity for students to further explore all the different paths of psychology and to surround themselves with other students of similar career or academic interests.

Community Service Intern
Rylee Cochran
Major(s): Psychology and International Studies
Hello I’m Rylee the community service intern! I love learning and trying new things so I’ve picked up quite a few hobbies. You can often find me reading, crocheting, or playing guitar. I am on the UCI cheer team so I also am at most of the basketball games. I really enjoy learning different alphabet fonts so I can read and write in Wingdings, Aurebesh (Starwars) and morse code. As for movies, murder mysteries have always been a favorite. I started going to PSA meetings my Fall quarter freshman year and I instantly felt like PSA was a very warm and welcome place to be. So this year I decided I wanted to help add to the space by becoming an intern.

Webmaster Intern
Nayeli Menjivar
Major(s): Psychology B.S , Film and Media Studies B.A
Hi Hi! I’m Nayeli, a proud mommy to two wonderful cats. ^_^ I started at UCI as a Psychology major, but my experience at Universal Studios inspired me to double major in Film. I’m passionate about movies and shows, particularly those in the comedy-drama, coming-of-age, and gritty realism genres. Some of my favorites include Shameless, Umbrella Academy, and Orange is the New Black. Right now, I’m leaning toward a career in film production, but I’m also interested in finding ways to integrate my background in psychology into other roles within the industry. I love how PSA explores different areas of psychology and I’m eager to become an intern to help support this welcoming environment and contribute to PSA’s mission of learning and connection.

Marketing Intern
Victoria Vo
Major(s): Psychology B.S.
Hi! I'm Victoria and I am your Marketing Intern for this year! I am a huge extrovert so there is nothing I love more than going out with my friends to go try new matcha places, go look for Smiskis/blind boxes, or even just go on a walk somewhere to talk! I am also an avid believer in rotting in bed which I love to do at night by reading romance mangas/manhwas, reading a sappy romance book, or even window shopping on Sephora! The thing I like most about PSA is the people! It's really refreshing to meet a group of like-minded people and I don't have to force a connection between us since we are already bonded by the fact we share the same major/interest!

Project Coordinator Intern
Kyla Bassett
Major(s): Cognitive Science
I enjoy scrap booking and taking pictures in my free time (nothing professional). I also LOVE live music, playing video games, and spending time with my dog Goomba. My favorite movies are Beetlejuice (1988) and Fight Club. I aspire to one day publish my own study exploring either memory or addiction or both! The club encourages you to socialize and meet new people which also allows you to connect with people who have similar interests. Its own community that constantly inspires you to put more passion into your career, which is what I like the most about the PSA

Project Coordinator Intern
Ethan Masiclat
Major(s): Psychology (B.S.)
I'm a third year psychology student graduating in the spring. I love to do pretty much anything whether that means playing sports, watching movies, reading books, or playing board games. I also love talking about any of those subjects lol. Of those my favorite things are basketball (Clippers fan), Inception, The Catcher in the Rye, and Dominion. I also play guitar and watch K-dramas in my free time. The thing I like most about PSA is that there are so many different people with different backgrounds. Psychology is such a diverse topic that fuels many different ideas. I became an intern, not only to gain experience in the psychology fuel, but also to be able to interact with all the different awesome people passionate about psychology.

Social Intern
Heidi Sek
Major(s): Biological Sciences & Psychological Sciences
Hi, my name is Heidi and I am incredibly grateful to be one of the PSA Interns this 2025 school year! I'm hoping to pursue an MD in Psychiatry and to make a contribution to mental health and related aspects. I love consuming media, specifically reading books, watching 2D animations, playing games, listening to different genres of music, and editing. My current hyperfixation is the Ace Attorney franchise! What I like about PSA is the like-minded community of students who are not only interested in psychology, but are also diverse and carry unique experiences and ideals. PSA also offers so many interesting opportunities and resources that are hard to find within one place. I'm excited to be involved in the club and to make close friends and I can't wait to meet everyone :D

Social Intern
Vi Trinh
Major(s): Psychological Sciences
Hi I'm Vi and I will be one of your Social Interns for this year! I love listening to music (mainly rap and rnb), going out with friends, and exploring Socal. I also love watching the Fast and Furious movies in my free time. I loved the sense of community I built in PSA and it inspired me to become an intern so that I could get the opportunity to form more connections with other students in the psychology space and further that sense of community!
