Details:
The Activities Coordinators help in the execution of the department's goals to serve over 600+ Registered Campus Organizations and support community service programming. They have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of students, staff, and various campus departments. Activities Coordinators (AC) are primarily responsible for the program planning and coordination of COVP’s signature events and programs held throughout the year. Other projects that AC’s will lead include Organization of the Month, Team Building Funding Board, I Love My Org, and Collaborative Conversations. AC’s will help to promote COVP services and resources and publicize all of the department’s events.
Activities Coordinators will work independently and as part of a team on their projects and can create new initiatives to achieve the department's mission. AC’s develop skills in the following: professionalism, program and event planning, marketing, public speaking, leadership, advising, meeting facilitation, campus policies, assessment, virtual engagement tools, and more.
Requirements:
Attend and participate in all COVP team meetings (Mondays 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm) Fall, Winter, Spring from Week 1-10 [must adjust your schedule accordingly]
Attend COVP & Student Life & Leadership training- September 16 - 20th, 2024 times to be determined (before Week 0)
Attend and work shifts at Anteater Involvement Fair | Monday, September 23, 2024 (all day)
Extended training - Attend the All-U Leadership Conference September 28-29, 2024 (overnight). COVP provides sponsorship.
Minimum GPA of 2.5
Be able to complete the required Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9). This requires you to provide documents that verify you are eligible to work in the USA.
