LARC Tutorial Leader Employment Application

If you’ve ever had trouble with a class, you may have heard of our utilized LARC aka the Learning & Academic Resource Center. Here’s your chance to help others with subject(s) that you are knowledgeable about. This is a rolling application, so you can apply at any time throughout the year. Listed here are some of the requirements to apply, as well as what you’ll be doing and getting paid for. Apply at the link here, and if selected for an interview, you will be contacted by LARC staff.


Position Requirements:

  • Full-time Undergraduate student at UCI willing to work 3 consecutive quarters

  • At least a B+ and ability to attend the course you want to support

  • 3.25 Overall GPA

  • Enrollment in Uni Stu 175: Methods in Small Group Instruction (Tuesdays 2-3:50pm)

You will be paid for:

  • Staff meetings (2 hours per quarter)

  • Peer Observations (2 hours per quarter)

  • Attend lectures for the course you support

  • 3 to 4 (50 minute) tutorials, meet twice per week

  • 4 to 6 hours of Review Sessions

  • Fall Orientation (applicable for leaders starting in Fall Quarter only)
