Community Service | Week 6 (Spring 2024)

Irvine Family Food Bank at The Arbor

Mission Statement:

The Arbor is a housing complex for low income families. Their mission is to transform lives of those that are homeless by offering housing services and other basic necessities, such as food and a community. 


What will you do?

Every Thursday, Second Harvest brings their Park-It-Market vehicle to the property so families can pick up food for the week. Volunteers are needed to help sign in residents and direct the residents.


Requirements::

  • Must be fully vaccinated 

  • Wear close toed shoes 

  • Over the age of 16


Volunteers must register and complete the waiver in the link before arriving to the event.

Parking instructions for volunteers: When you enter the property please park in the guest or visitor parking, not on the numbered spaces.


Radiant Health Center Volunteer

Mission Statement:

Radiant Health Centers provides compassionate care for all, including free HIV testing, LGBTQ+ health services, and other specialized medical and comprehensive social services. We are working to eliminate stigma and overcome health disparities impacting the LGBTQ+ community to create a healthy Orange County for all.


What will you do?

They offer a variety of positions ranging from volunteering at their food pantry, office assistance, community outreach, and translators.


Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18

  • Complete orientation or training

  • Commit to volunteering once a week

  • Proof of COVID and TB vaccine
