Trail Stewardship Little Sycamore

Mission Statement: 

Advocating for our open space as the leading organization for education, public outreach, habitat restoration, and trailwork in the canyons


What will you do?

On top of hiking the scenic trails of Laguna Canyon, you’ll be tasked with clearing drains to remove water off the trails, pruning the vegetation down to make a clearer path for hikers, and moving dirt to restore erosion that’s occurred over time. 


Requirements:

  • Pre-register through the QR code

  • Sign liability waiver (provided on-site) 

  • Bring water, comfortable shoes, sun protection 

  • Ability to hike 4 miles with equipment on person

Stand Up for Kids - Human Services Intern

Mission Statement:

The mission is to end the cycle of youth homelessness throughout the United States. We carry out our mission through our volunteers who go to the streets in order to find, stabilize and otherwise help homeless and street kids improve their lives


What will you do?

Direct kids to community services that are available, working with youth on anger management, job and resume skills, visiting shelters, field trips, college trips, finding tutors, arranging doctor appointments.


Requirements:

  • Driver's license

  • Background Check

  • Complete orientation and training

  • Commit 3-5 hours per week
