DC Office Internship program - U.S. Congresswoman Katie Porter’s

District interns can expect to gain experience and training in a wide range of areas including: public policy research, constituent services and outreach, attend community events, district correspondence, public affairs relations, and administrative skills including answering phones. In addition, interns may be assigned to work on District-based policy initiatives of important guided by staff members.


To apply for a DC internship with Congresswoman Porter, please:

  • Email a cover letter, resume, and two references to CAFreshman.Internship@Mail.house.gov with "Internship Summer" in the subject line

Qualified candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and possess strong writing skills.



Deadline: Application will be accepted until March 15 for the Summer session
